prev... DDLDD. we gotta win this. obafemi can save his somersaults for their next match It sucks to see that run of games. Three draws that we should have won, two of which are the ones that we concede in injury time and the last game with blackburn which we dominated but failed to score. The loss to fulham was undeserved as it looks more like a stalemate game. Well with that said we did witness the greatest comeback against arsenal and three points against birmingham is much welcome.

Strange substitutions from Pardew, bringing on Guthrie and Campbell to me it's dangerous to bring on defenders when you're leading, it's brings the onus to attack to Birmingham but fortunately we held on. That's 2 away clean sheets after a horror show against arsenal, 9th spot and we should be safe I reckon!

hopefully love and best can carry on their run of recent good games and coupled with the impending return of ben arfa (a month or so?) hopefully push us up higher in the standings.

35 Points - virual safety? 42 pts and will breath easier.. But finishing above the Mackems, and god i'd luv to catch Chelski! What a two finger salute to someone in Lewisham that would be

I'm kinda surprised not to see Tiote getting a yellow.

That's 2 away clean sheets after a horror show against arsenal, 9th spot and we should be safe I reckon! Guthrie is replaced coz he want to keep Best and prevent him for further injuries. We do not have a striker in the bench yesterday, so it is understandable. For Campbell sub, I felt it is a good move because the only way birmingham is about to score is through corners or through brutal force. Look at the the birmingham win against west ham, last min corner and force the ball into the goal. In additional, remember how we crumble to blackburn eariler on? where roberts force his way to score the winning goal? I think it is a safe move coz we have already 2 goal advantage.

We had kuqi on the bench yesterday.
But I think overall it was a good win... However, leading 2-0 up, even until the 80th min, didn't give me the assurance of 3 points in the bag because of all the amazing come backs !

True.... but when we went chasing for another goal in our game against Spurs and Mackems, we backfire and 2 points off the bag. I think Alan Pardew just want to make sure the lads defend for the 3points, not to concede last min goal again.

I'm kinda surprised not to see Tiote getting a yellow. I will be more surprise if Barton can escape yellow.... i felt that he is unfairly view at times. yesterday challenge do not result to yellow, same as the yellow he got against blackburn (for fighting to keep the ball in)

am happy for best and love. its our first win since post-carroll era (as put it by e newpaper).
thot we played pretty well. noticed that enrique was marked by two opponents when trying to bring the ball up.
i think pardew wanted to play safe after what happened to us against spurs n mackems... to bring in guthrie n campbell just containing the opponents.
